Body and Balance traces its roots back to my first Activewear shop in the 1980s when I was the Northern Beaches Lycra Aerobic diva. From shop floors to shores, city studios to Aerobic championships, TV appearances, commercials, fashion shows, and films – my journey in Human Movement and Music has been a lifelong passion.
I've taught thousands of people cross the globe, including France, Spain, the UK, India, Australia, and recently New Zealand. While mainly based on Sydney's Northern Beaches, my dedication to Human Movement and Music keeps me moving and grooving. I've even triumphed over severe depression following a hip injury during a Hot Yoga class. A Total Hip Replacement brought me back to life, and within six weeks, I was back to moving, dancing, and teaching.
My dance journey started at the age of 5, a remedy for my restless nature. From classical ballet to modern dance, jazz, and Tribal Dance – I explored it all. Though I auditioned for the Australian Ballet school in Melbourne, I chose a different path, delving into acting where I discovered Tribal Dance. After a stint as a teacher, I immersed myself in studying teaching for Hearing Impaired children. Becoming a Co-Ordinator at the Chatswood Shepherd Centre, I juggled motherhood, a broken marriage, and building my Stretch Connection, Body and Balance business. Wild and full-on, it led me to Didier, the love of my life. Our adventures took us to France, where we lived, and our daughter Elodie (aka NOEMME musician) was born. Through it all, Human Movement and Music remains my unwavering passion.
